Leading the Smart Ring Race.

Building on their extensive investment into health and fitness technology, Samsung teased the release of its newest and smallest addition – The Galaxy Ring, set to release ahead of the 2024 Paris Olympics.

The Galaxy Ring was one of the most anticipated product launches of the year, and a first for a leading technology company to challenge the space dominated by the Finnish company, Oura.

Leveraging recent breakthroughs in AI technology, the Galaxy Ring promised to deliver best-in-class sleep analysis, wellness monitoring, as well as menstrual and fitness tracking. Leading up to the official release, Samsung tasked us with developing a creative concept for the connected ring.

Closer.

Closer, was a concept developed to emphasise the product positioning, of enhanced everyday wellness and sleep. What would happen if you had access to technology that could bring you closer to who you were? A product that didn’t flash or scream, but integrated seamlessly into your everyday. A device that didn’t get in the way, but explained the way you interacted with the world regardless if you were asleep or awake. The result was a product first approach that celebrated simplicity, design details, and removed unnecessary barriers between the product, the users and their health data.
